Consultancy Jobs - Surveys

My mentor always tell me not to feel embarassed to knock on the doors of factories and companies (I had my share of doors being slammed on my face!) and to go down the street to listen to people's idea even though they are not as educated as me. I have seen new products with million ringgit marketing strategy failed  because the researchers failed to conduct surveys.

For each new product, surveys would be conducted on trained and untrained panelists, students, chefs and masses.

Each survey can take weeks or even months. I had to go from one state to another, listening to people from all walks of life. It was a humbling experience for a scientist armed with years of research that won awards and presented at international seminars, to go down the street and asked factories to invest in its production or the consumers to buy it.
